Unless stated otherwise, all club Sunday touring runs start from High Town (usually at 9.00am) and all training rides from Steels Westgate (brisk at 9.00am, easier at 9.30am).
Committee meeting: Wed 7th May 7.30pm at Hereford Rowing Club.  All members welcome.

Note:   E = elevenses   L = lunch   T = tea   (See Audax UK handbook for Audax info.)

We extend a warm welcome to the following new (or, in some cases, renewed) members:
Tom Haines, Ali Hall, Colin Lambourne, Sarah Lloyd-Stephens, John Lowe, David Saunders, Andrew Sparks, Kate Tetley, Coleen Tudor and Richard Williamson.

On Saturday 17th  you can ride the two-up, or bring a veteran bike (or a good classic).  And afterwards, enjoy the club barbecue, which was a great success last year.  Bring the family!

Local CTC members Richard and Barbara Ballard are organising a leisurely 35-mile touring ride of Herefordshire's black-and-white villages on 25th May, from their home in Broomy Hill.  All welcome, but ring them beforehand (01432 267414) to book lunch at Weobley.

We have had wonderful turnouts for our first few evening '10' time trials, despite the bleak weather – well over 40 riders every time.  We are therefore changing the basis of our points competitions, from 30 points to 50 points for first place downwards, so that everyone gets rewarded for riding, and this will be applied retrospectively from the start of the season.

This splendid support keeps our officials very busy, and we are grateful that riders have been patient, courteous, and have arrived in good time, brought the right entry fee, signed in promptly and legibly, called their numbers at the finish and returned their race numbers promptly afterwards.  This all helps enormously.  Thanks, folks, and please keep it up!

This years Welsh Festival of Cycling, offering camping and touring rides to suit every type of rider, in beautiful, traffic-free countryside, runs from 25th to 28th June and is based in Rhayader.  Contact 01544 370312, 01952 257522 or demrys2jones@hotmail.co.uk
